Tubex Standard

The Tubex Standard provides an improved micro-climate for trees which results in better initial establishment and higher survival rates. This phenomenon allows for the planting of smaller trees which are cheaper, cheaper to plant, and easier to source, and which ultimately lead to better trees with stronger roots.

The Tubex Standard also provides complete protection against animals and herbicides in a way that is more flexible, more effective and usually cheaper than any alternatives such as fencing.

Hints and tips

  • Use a well-driven quality stake (canes will need replacing) to a soil depth of at least 30cm (maybe deeper in cultivated soil)
  • Using the shelters natural strength, push into the ground to remove gaps at the base
  • If tree fills shelter diameter before the normal degradation period (5 years +), consider removing the shelter or manually initiating the laserline split.
