Tubex is proud to announce that is has been accepted onto the Welsh Assembly Government’s (WAG) flagship ‘ProAct’ Scheme.

WAG aims to prepare businesses for economic recovery by up-skilling staff on short-time working. The ‘down-time’ during this period will also enable Tubex to significantly reduce its stock levels going into the next winter season.

Tubex has compiled a comprehensive training programme for the whole workforce. Training during the summer of 2009 will cover;

  • World class manufacturing
  • Business improvement
  • Sales development
  • Marketing and web training

André Green, Operations Director for Tubex, said “This is a significant investment of time and resources by Tubex and The Welsh Assembly Government. We expect it will make not only a short term difference, but will also benefit Tubex in the long term.”

ProAct, is a new Welsh Assembly Government pilot scheme to support businesses during the economic downturn.

Wales Education Minister Jane Hutt said “This is the first scheme of its kind in the UK and is one of several measures the Welsh Assembly Government is putting in place to help Wales deal with the global economic downturn.”
